About St. Vincent Pallotti Parish

     With the 1998 merger of the two Pallottine parishes, Holy Cross Church became known as Pallotti East and St. Anthony of Padua Church as Pallotti West. Fr. Paul Coutinha was installed as the first pastor of the new parish, and in January of 2001, Fr. Joe Koyickal became the second pastor.

     The two churches are a study in contrasts.

     The East Site with its bell tower closely resembles a small European church, while the West Site’s architecture is contemporary. Both churches feature outstanding stained glass windows. The interior of the east church was modernized in 1958 and windows depict the theme of Redemption and the seven sacraments.

      The West Site is highlighted by stained glass from Innsbruck and Munich,  depicting scenes from Salvation History, Eucharist, the Mysteries of the Rosary, the life of St. Anthony of Padua and the life of St. Vincent Pallotti.

     On August 29, 2004, more than 700 people gathered at the East Site for an outdoor Mass celebrating the 125th anniversary of Holy Cross Church. The Mass procession was led by a Knights of Columbus honor guard and included the clergy who concelebrated with Bishop Sklba – Pallottine Fathers Joe Koyickal, pastor, Leon Martin, provincial, Greg Serwa and Jerome Hapka; Capuchin Father Keith Clark; and Father Norman Oswald, representing St. Therese Parish. Food, music and displays of parish history followed the Mass, along with a chance to view the freshly painted and carpeted church interior.
