Christian Women’s Society

Any woman of the parish is welcome to attend any of the Society’s three major events and may join by paying $5 dues each year. The three annual events are: a family breakfast after 10:00 a.m. Mass in the Parish Center in May (fee charged), Day of Recollection at Holy Hill in October (fee charged), Christmas breakfast after 10:00 a.m. Mass in November at Johnny V’s Classic Café. Occasionally, there is a continental breakfast after 8:00 a.m. Mass at the East Site.

Dartball

The St. Vincent Pallotti team is a member of the Catholic Blue & Gold Dartball League. The team plays on Wednesday evenings from September to April with the exception of Thanksgiving week, Christmas week, Ash Wednesday and Holy Week. Team membership is open to all parish males age 18 or older. A match is played each Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m. A match consists of three games. Each game takes approximately 45 minutes to complete. Matches are played against teams from other parishes in our area. This mid-week night out gives men from our parish the opportunity to enjoy good fellowship and camaraderie with men from other parishes. The team is always looking for new faces and would welcome any parish members who would like to join.

St. Vincent de Paul Society

The Society’s purpose is to visit and serve the needy in our area. Two members visit and assist with food, clothing and furniture as requested, if possible. Money collected at our parish in the envelopes and baskets is used to support this work. Contributions are sometimes made to other Vincentian projects, disaster relief and our twin conference in Jamaica.

Nonperishable food is collected weekly at church entrances. This food is sorted and delivered to food pantries. A collection of school supplies to be distributed to needy students is held in August. St. Vincent Pallotti’s conference meets monthly for mutual support and encouragement. The meetings are on the third Tuesday of the month at 1:00 p.m. at the Pallotti House.
