School Mission Statement

Our mission is the Christian education of children in grades K4-8 by infusing Catholic moral values into the daily curriculum and instruction. In partnership with parents and the parish community, children will learn and practice the Gospel values which will enable them to become responsible Catholic role models in a changing and challenging social environment.

The St. Vincent Pallotti School Community is committed to the spiritual and academic education of children. This commitment is founded in Gospel values which will enable children to responsibly meet the challenges of their changing society and environment.

Our mission shall be accomplished through these goals:

Message: To integrate the gospel values, according to message in the light of Catholic tradition and all religious beliefs, into daily life-style practices.

Prayer and Worship: To encourage student, faculty and family participation in the liturgical and sacramental life of the parish.

Community: To develop and instill an appreciation and celebration respect of individual, family, and cultural differences.

Service: To integrate develop an awareness of the Gospel value of “gospel values by reinforcing the sense of community” within the school; to expand and extending it beyond the school through service and social justice projects according to Catholic social teaching.

Academics: To develop a learning environment in which high standards and a quest for excellence, subject mastery and creativity motivate the potential of each student.

Academics: To create a learning environment that meets the needs of the individual learner and facilitates a love of learning.

 

St. Vincent Pallotti School Philosophy

We, as educators of St. Vincent Pallotti School, believe that each child is unique and capable of working and learning and working toward academic excellence... The growth of the child must be nourished by Christian values begun in the home. We ask students to share in the responsibility of their growth and development. We believe we must incorporate the aid of all human and technological resources available to us. Our vision is that our students will become positive Christian examples for all members of society. They shall have a deep sense of their faith, a love of learning, and a respect for themselves, others and their environment.

OUR SPIRITUAL OBJECTIVES AND GOALS ARE:

To foster the formation of the student’s moral conscience

To teach and model Christian values

To instill in parents the desire to accept the responsibility of being the primary teachers of their children

To encourage students to see their world from a Christian perspective

To encourage students to live the gospel message through service to others

To develop an appreciation of the Catholic tradition

To provide educational experiences which include participation in the liturgy and other prayerful experiences

OUR INTELLECTUAL OBJECTIVES AND GOALS ARE:

To meet individual learning styles by providing auditory, visual, and kinesthetic instructional techniques

To personalize the curriculum according to the needs of each child

To instill a lifelong love of learning

To integrate life experiences into the basic curriculum

To challenge each child to learn to the best of his/her ability

OUR PHYSICAL OBJECTIVES AND GOALS ARE:

To promote good choices which will lead to a healthy lifestyle

To teach cooperation and teamwork

To develop and maintain an awareness of physical fitness

To teach good sportsmanship

To develop a variety of psychomotor skills

OUR SOCIAL OBJECTIVES AND GOALS ARE:

To develop a respect for one another and acceptance of individual differences

To teach basic problem solving, social and leadership skills

To develop an appreciation for the importance of friendship

To deepen a students concern for and skill in peacemaking

To develop an awareness of social justice issues

To develop an acceptance of all people regardless of race, creed, religion

OUR PSYCHOLOGICAL OBJECTIVES AND GOALS ARE:

To develop positive attitudes and behaviors

To provide an atmosphere which allows children to feel accepted

To promote a positive self-image

To provide professional psychological service

To provide opportunities for continuing education in parenting skills

To motivate students to think critically and to accept responsibility for their emotions

OUR AESTHETIC OBJECTIVES AND GOALS ARE:

To instill an appreciation of the beauty and responsibility of stewardship for the earth

To allow students the opportunity to express themselves through creative activities

To maintain enrichment experiences both within and outside of school
