Principal Mr. Jeffrey Johnson Office 258-4165 - 111
Secretary Mrs. Sylvia Yunker 202 258-4165 - 112
My name is Sylvia Yunker and I am proud to be the school secretary at St. Vincent Pallotti School. Proud because I am a graduate of 1956 and my son graduated in 1980. Traditional values are important to my family, as is a well-rounded education. St. Vincent Pallotti School provides those values and a fine education with a talented and dedicated staff. The secretarial position includes support for the Principal, typing, answering phones, personal contacts with parents, nursing needs and teacher needs. I am happy to be part of the St. Vincent Pallotti Parish/School Community.
K4 Mrs. Linda Prange 205 258-4165 - 250
My name is Linda Prange and I am the full-day K4 teacher at St. Vincent
Pallotti School. I have had many years of teaching experience at various
grade levels, but this age is my absolute favorite! I graduated from
UW-Whitewater with a B.S. of Education, and also have my Master's Degree
from UW-Whitewater. One of my most interesting teaching experiences was
teaching in an elementary school in Penzance, England. My husband, son,
daughter and I enjoy traveling and having family time together. I believe
that a safe, caring atmosphere to learn, explore, socialize and grow in is
the best way to start out a child's education. Please stop by to visit!
K5 Ms. Karen Vande Hey 206 258-4165 - 240

I have a BS degree in education from Indiana University and an MAT degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. My teaching experience spans 15 years. I have taught in many socio-economic areas, all of the elementary grades, and mostly in the Midwest. My travels have been extensive in the United States, Canada, and most of the Caribbean Islands. I have also been to England. I am delighted to be a part of St. Vincent Pallotti School. I find the staff, administration, and students providing a loving and nurturing environment in which to learn.
First Grade Mrs. Judith Dorner 201 258-4165 - 241

My
name is Judy Dorner. I went to school at UW Stout for my degree in Early
Childhood Education and recently to Cardinal Stritch for my reading license. I
really enjoy working at Saint Vincent Pallotti, and seeing the first graders
change and grow throughout the year. I believe that children should experience
learning through all their senses. For fun, I enjoy boating, visiting zoos, and
listening to Elvis and Neal Diamond. I have spent my classroom career teaching
children ages 4-7. In addition, I also have many years of tutoring children of
all ages.
Teachers' Aide Miss Jessica Prange 258-4165

My name is Jessica Prange. I am the teachers aide
for grades K4, K5 and First Grade. I also help out the Second and Third Grade
teachers occasionally. My favorite thing about being an aide is hearing a child
say, "Look Miss Jessica, I can...." from tying their own shoes, to zipping
zippers, to printing their name, to reading a story. It is very exciting to see
the children so thrilled at learning something new. I am a student at Carroll
College majoring in Sociology and Criminal Justice. I hope to work as a social
worker in a school setting after earning my Bachelors of Arts Degree. I enjoy
traveling with my family, and reading.
Second Grade Mrs. Holly 203 258-4165 - 242

Your child’s teacher: A quick bio
Name:
Holly J. Dreier
DOB:
January 12 in San Juan, Puerto Rico
Places she
grew up:
Tampa, Florida and Colorado Springs, Colorado
College
(undergraduate):
Marquette University – B.S. Marketing
College
(graduate): Mt. Mary
– M.A. Education
Other
education: St.
Clare’s International College in Oxford, England and TEFL school in Prague,
Czech Republic
Why she
ended up in Wisconsin:
She attended Marquette, and loved the
Midwest culture. She loves Milwaukee (but still can’t get used to the winters,
nor the Packers). She is still an avid Bronco fan J
Interesting
facts: She taught
English as a foreign language in Prague and Munich. She has traveled extensively
throughout Europe (by both studying abroad and teaching) and enjoys bringing her
life experiences into the classroom. She grew up in a military family (hence
being born in Puerto Rico) thus she enjoys showcasing holidays like Veteran’s
Day and Memorial Day with her students.
Hobbies:
Having attended a Jesuit university, she has a passion for theology and
will read ANY theology book you drop in her lap! In addition, she is passionate
about giving back to the community around her, which is what made her decide to
become a teacher. She has a strong faith life and shares that with her students.
She also has a thing for dogs….she used to volunteer at the Wisconsin Humane
Society until her life got very busy! She loves all and every breed you bring
her way.
Her
Passion: She has a
tremendous passion for learning. Her ultimate goal is not to make each of her
students a Straight “A” student, but more importantly, to instill a love of
learning, and plant a seed that will continue to grow throughout her students’
lives, making them lifelong learners, and ultimately using and sharing the gifts
God gave them.
Third Grade TBA
Fourth Grade Mrs. Sandra Eggers 305 258-4165 - 244

As a graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee, I have taught grades 4th through 6th, but as a substitute teacher I worked with preschoolers through adults. My philosophy after almost 20 years of classroom teaching is that we all are or should be life-long learners.
While learning is my passion, my other interests include the fine arts, science, and global culture. After recently spending a week in Boston, MA, I have solidified my opinion that history and culture come alive when you participate in them, and so my new personal goal is to do more traveling. I enjoy bringing my experiences from travel to the learning environment. When time is available, I enjoy arts and crafts, sewing, decorating, and antiquing.
My goal here at St. Vincent Pallotti is twofold: one is to have the students realize that learning is exciting, and the other is to have them realize that they can make a difference in our world and in themselves by how they approach and direct their own learning.
Fifth Grade Ms. Christine Stango-Yogerst 304 258-4165 - 245

I am excited about becoming a part of the wonderful team
of teachers at St. Vincent Pallotti this year! I earned my teaching certificate
and Bachelor of Arts degree in Interdisciplinary Social Sciences at Marquette
University. After my time at Marquette I began working on a Master of Science
degree at UW-Milwaukee in Cultural Foundations of Education while I taught for
four years at St. Leo Catholic Urban Academy where I spent two years teaching
second grade and two years teaching fourth grade. I am thrilled to job share
with Mrs. Kirchner this year because it will allow me to spend time doing two of
my favorite things – teaching AND spending time with my new baby boy, Sawyer! I
also enjoy reading, rollerblading, playing softball and mountain biking with my
husband.
Fifth Grade -
Mrs. Romelle Kirchner 304

I was born and raised in the Milwaukee area where I attended both Catholic grade school and high school. I graduated from Marquette University with an English major and a History minor. Shortly after graduation, I returned to fulfill the necessary course work for my teaching license. I enjoy walking for physical exercise and reading for mental exercise. My goal is to make par on a hole - any hole. My father taught me that travel is the best education and although I've been unable to do much lately, I've traveled extensively both in the U.S. and abroad. This has enhanced my ability to teach my favorite subject - Social Studies.
