Religious Education Program

Religion is an important part of the life of the family. We become members of God’s Family when we are baptized. Religion should be a part of our family life. It is so important that we pray together as a family and have family rituals: such as family meals together, a set time to pray together as a family and for each other, parents blessing their children as they go off to school, and coming together as a family to attend MASS on the weekend.

Religious Education is for families whose children do not attend a Catholic School. We have Religious Education for students from K-5 to juniors in high school. K-5 to grade 10 meets on Sunday mornings from 8:45 to 9:50 in the Parish office.

The Sacramental years: Second grade and juniors in High School have special preparation for the students. The students need to be in religious education classes prior to these years.

Second graders are prepared for the Sacraments of Reconciliation in the fall and for Eucharist in the spring. We have extra classes to prepare the students and families for these two Sacraments.

Juniors in high school are prepared for the Sacrament of Confirmation. Catholic high school students need to come back to the parish to be prepared for Confirmation along with the juniors in religious education classes.

We welcome all students and families who are interested in learning more about the program to call Jan Grosschadl, Director of Religious Education at 414-453-5344 X 116 or email [email protected]
